4th test flight

On the third test flight, once I climbed to 5000′ and brought it up to speed, I noticed a definite roll tendency.  To see if I could correct this, I drooped the ailerons so their trailing edges were 1/8″ below the wing at rest/level.  During this test flight, tho, it still wanted to roll left – it did’t seem to help.

Also, temps were a bit higher on this flight (both CHT and oil).  The only think I can think of is that I removed a couple strips of foam tape that sealed the intake runners to the top cowling.  I didn’t think they would have much effect, but it appears they do.  I’ll put them back in and see if it helps.

I upgraded my Dynon Skyview to v4 before the flight.  In flight I got a network error and my ADAHRS shut down twice for a few minutes.  Back at the hangar I ran the network diagnostics and it said both my pitch servo and ADARHS were throwing network errors (or something to that effect).  I have a feeling that it is an extension cable I used when I moved my ADARHS.  I just grabbed a non-aviation DB-9 extension cable.  the Skyview network needs twisted-pair cabling.  I’ll replace that cable tomorrow before my next flight.  I had intended to replace it, but wanted to see if the ADAHRS behaved itself in its new location before making a proper cable.

Here’s the CloudAhoy log for this flight
