Now that the plane is at the hangar, fully assembled and looking like a real airplane, I’ve been working on the million little things needed to get to first flight. Many little things to do on the engine and cowling. I’m concerned about shielding electrical wires from the exhaust heat, so I made a heat shield for the CP side where the exhaust radiant heat might cause problems with the electrical wiring trunk that goes down that side. I also added some heat shielding to the interior of the cowling where the exhaust will be close to it. The panel shown on the firewall is the pass-thru for the Lightspeed EI. The manifold pressure connection is what I recently added.
