I’ve been pulling apart the engine. While I’m dying to tie right into it and do a complete rebuild, it just doesn’t need it and I’d probably do more damage than good! Part of why I’d like to tear it apart is to give it a good cleanup. Its had a couple layers of paint, and the last black paint job was quite indiscriminate. So, I’m pulling all the accessories off, replace any gaskets and fasteners that I can. Also, I’ve sold the VM1000 engine monitor package that came with the engine, so I need to pull off all the sensors. Just as well as I was not all that happy with the way the sensors were installed/wired. I’ll strip it down as much as I can to clean it up and check it out as much as I can.
