On the home stretch now…My rebuilt engine is back in the plane and running…sort of. After a bunch of horsing around I found I had two issues. Firstly, when I went to start it the first time, I had a real tough time. After a few days of pulling my hair out, I realized I had mistakenly mixed up the throttle/mixture control attachments to the engine. Got that sorted out and then was able to start the engine, but it ran very poorly on the Lightspeed EI alone (fine on the mag). After talking with the always crusty Klaus from LSE, I had to ship my EI unit and hall effect sensor back to him as it seems to be malfunctioning.
