I’ve been keeping an eagle-eye out for avionics on ebay. So far, I’ve done pretty good. I’ve got a fancy Narco AT165 transponder, altitude encoder, Garmin SL40 com, vacuum attitude, vacuum regulator, altimeter and airspeed indicator. The only issue I’ve had so far is the airspeed indicator that was advertised as “new” came with a cracked glass. Seller was not all that cooperative, but a new glass is only $23 and I got it for a steal. I bought a new I-COM A210 from a Canadian company for a wickedly low price of $860 (apparently ICOM Is offering some sort of instant rebate in Canada on these units). A lot better price than $1200 here. I was just about to bid on the older I-COM A200 on ebay for $650 when I saw these A210 units for this price.
All I need now is a suction gauge and EFIS. I’m still leaning towards the Dynon. I’ll probably wait until the winter to see how they progress with their software updates, first.
