Fuselage priming

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAAfter several weeks of filling and sanding, the fuselage was ready for priming.  Spraying upside down to get the belly and under the wings was not much fun.  I lifted the nose up to help, but I may have to break out my rotisserie when it comes time for painting.  I gave it two good coats of primer.  Primer is a great revealer and as I was spraying, some obvious sanding mistakes were showing up.  Oh well, that’s to be expected, I guess.  I’ll probably do a bit more filling to take care of these issues, re-prime those areas then lay down a guide coat and start blocking.  My workshop is a complete dusty mess.  I think I’ll take a break tomorrow and do some cleaning.

Here’s the plane all masked up ready for priming, then primed.
